beauty advert

this advertisement was a challenge, I had an idea of making it look like the spray bottle is spraying out strawberries to show the natural one ingredient brand of this product but this idea was extremely hard to execute with my limited photoshop skills so I had to simplify and just go back to the key idea of natural. I decided to use the juxtaposition of the dark brown wood and the light white of the product. I also made half the page covered with strawberries to really demonstrate the high concentrated strawberry scent. however I think that the red of the strawberries make my product look desaturated. I placed the slogan in the bottom right corner so its the last thing the viewer sees and so the lasting impression of the advertisement . this advert engages with the target consumer because of its minimalist and natural aesthetic. I think I will reattempt this when I am more secure in photoshop

 

SHSG print advert

creating this advert was the first time I had ever used a DLSR camera. I had many unusable photos as I initially struggled with photos being blurry or overexposed. by the end I managed to get the hang of it and I think I produced some good photos. editing the photos was quite tricky as I have never used photoshop before ; I wanted the images at the top to seem like a photo wall or collage as these a quite a popular trend for teenage girls. I felt that it demonstrated well the bonds you build in the sixth form and shows some of the amenities of the sixth form whilst still linking it to relatable aspects of life for my target demographic (15-16 year olds specifically focusing on girls). I feel that I'm starting to grasp how to use photoshop to produce a desired outcome.
